Stainton out as head of Paramount animation

The Los Angeles Times reports that just four months after taking the job David Stainton has resigned as head of Paramount Pictures’ animation unit. President of Paramount Motion Picture Group Adam Goodman will now oversee the animation department. Stainton, who spent 17 years at Walt Disney studios culminating his time there as president of feature animation, signed on with Paramount last year after the release of their critical hit Rango

Nick Park shares his first ever animated film

Nick Park, the four time Academy award winning creator of Wallace and Gromit , shares his first ever animated film Walter The Rat Goes Fishing . Park shot the film at the age of 13 using an 8mm movie camera with characters made from his mother’s sewing kit. Park also talks about the childhood influences that led to the birth of Wallace and Gromit .
